After struggling for more than ten years in the entertainment industry, South Korean director Hwang Dong-hyunk produced Squid Games.
At first he thought to make it as a long movie. But it wasn’t until Netflix gave it the go-ahead to become a drama series. After which Squid Games gained international attention.
As the series investigated the harsh reality of capitalism, it became popular and a second season is early waited.

The much-awaited season 2 of Squid Games is still under production, but reports say that fans will get to watch the season 2 soon.
The creator of the show ‘Squid Games’ is most likely to reveal details related to the second season during the Lucca Comics and Games Festival, Itlay.
The venue of the Festival is a town in Lucca, known for its intact medieval buildings. Although it is not clear what will be revealed about the next season, fans are eager to know anything related to the next season.
Squid Game Season 2- New Cast members
Netflix revealed the additional cast members for Squid Game Season 2 on June 28. The new additions include Jo Yu-ri, Lee Jin-uk, Park Gyu-young, Lee David, Kang Ae-shim, Roh Jae-won, Choi Seung-hyun, and Won Ji-an.

What is confirm till now is that. Squid Game season 2 will be releases on Netflix in 2024 only. And according to the lead actor of the series ‘ Lee Junga-Jae’, “we will be able to stream it from December. It will be released in December 2024”.
Given that new characters and roles will be seen and the fact that creator Hwang Dong-hyuk promised it would also feature “New Games”, it seems Squid Games season 2 is worth the wait.
